A Home Staging Consultation is an inexpensive and effective way to make a significant difference in the visual appeal of your home for sale. We begin with a short conversation about your goals, timeline and the services MAISON can provide. Please note, we do not provide advice on how to price or market your home – those items are best left to your trusted realtor.

During the consultation, we will walk through your home together, room-by-room (home exterior included) and provide an overall assessment with recommendations of how to best showcase your home to prospective buyers. Following the consultation, a written report is provided to the client with specific recommendations of how to enhance the appearance of your home, making it as attractive as possible to potential buyers. Specific suggestions could include how to highlight your home’s best features (and minimize less-attractive qualities), paint colors, furniture placement, decorative enhancements, suggestions for new purchases and/or depersonalization and neutralizing of spaces.

From here, you have the option to hire MAISON to fully implement the staging outline for you. Alternatively, you can opt to simply take the recommendations and do-it-yourself. In this case, the client is 100% responsible for implementing the recommendations provided and the purchase of any items suggested for the staging process.

In all consultations and assessments, we work to minimize cost by utilizing client-owned furniture and decor as much as possible. This allows us to assist home owners no matter the budget. Consider this: a DIY staging consultation/checklist option could cost as little as $250 and two hours of time, but return as much as 20% more on your home sale price at the closing table, according to the National Association of Realtors and Staging. It’s a no-brainer.
